“Terrible Choices”
I’ve just finished the first draft of book three. Working title: “Terrible Choices”. I’m pleased with the work. It contains most of the characters from the first two books plus some new people. And the body count reaches double figures!
Here is a paragraph from the second chapter:
The man’s name was Edward Bond. And he was described by most media to be ‘A pillar of the establishment”. When Chief Superintendent Jackie Starling, a very senior officer in the UK National Crime Agency described him, her words were less flattering: “He’s a fucking evil bastard criminal”. And her description was one hundred percent accurate. He was a mean man, a very mean man. Ruthless and sadistic, he enjoyed being able to hurt people but he always used someone else to do the dirty work. He had never been arrested, let alone charged, for any offence; in spite of being responsible for about fifty percent of the heroin, cocaine and ketamine sold in the UK and the murder of nineteen men, three women and a six year old child.
Jenny has started to review the book and I will amend the final draft with her input. Then it’s off to the editor!
